I have a problem and I'm hoping someone out there knows the answer...
The other day my smoke alarm started making the "I need a new battery" noise. So, I went and bought it a new battery. But, now when I try to put the new battery in it just starts screaching as soon as the little contacts touch each other. Am I doing something wrong? How do I make it shut up? And I already put out all the fires, so I know that isn't it :)
Is there someone that has an idea what to do?

I have another solution which in my experience is waaaay better because it requires no bare handling of the lens.
