Hildi is a Thief!

I'm watching a Trading Spaces from a few weeks ago. It's the one with Genevive & Hildi in London. The girls' room that Hildi did is VERY similar to the way I did my bedroom at my parent's house.

My freshman year of high school (was that 9 or 10 years ago now?) I convinced my parents to let me re-do my bedroom. I picked a comforter that was black with splashes of about 10 different colors on it. I picked five of those colors to be my accents in the room. I did my shelves, dresser, desk, and all my other furniture in those colors. For my shelves I started with purple on the top shelf, then blue, pink, and yellow on each lower shelf. The sides were green. It sounds a little insane, but with all the furniture in that style it looked pretty cool. I took all my leftover paint and after painting my walls white I flicked the five colors all over everything. It ended up looking really good. My mom actually likes it so much that since I moved out they've kept it that way and even bought artwork and an area rug to match the walls.

Paint flicking is SOO much fun. But I think Hildi should have to pay me for stealing my idea or something...
