This is an Update to the icky post below. Again, if you don't want to hear about it, don't hit the "more" thing.
The period from hell seems to be subsiding! Woot! I actually got really sick this morning and ended up going to the doctor, but all seems to be ok at this point in the afternoon.
I woke up at about 6:30 after sleeping for just 3 hours and everything was soaked through and there was a large blood stain on my sheets, mattress pad, and mattress. Fun right? I went downstairs to my bathroom to deal with myself and started getting dizzy, nauseous, sweaty, cold, shivery, diarrhea... I had all but one of the symptoms for Toxic Shock Syndrome! Yikes!
I was actually very close to calling 911 when I started to feel marginally better and made it back to my bed. Called my mom who came over and helped clean everything up. (I was very much incapable of doing that) She called and made a doctor appointment for me and then took me there.
By the time the appointment came around I was feeling a little better, still dizzy and very pale, but the rest of my problems had gone away. My doc checked to make sure nothing weird was going on, no cysts or anything strange like that and sent me to get some blood work done to make sure everything was ok.
Mom then took me home and fed me some red meat because Lisa said that all of my symptoms could also have been from blood loss, napped for a few hours, and now I'm at work!
What a fun morning/afternoon I've had.
