18 Years Later

Pictures from Chernobyl

A series of pictures of what the area around Chernobyl looks like now, the "dead zone", taken by a woman who lives nearby and rides her motorcycle through occasionally. It's absolutely fascinating, and heartbreaking at the same time.

I spent all morning looking those over, fascinating and scary. I couldn't get over the fact it would 900 years before anyone could live there.
