Something's Wrong

And I have no idea what. I've been having lots of depression issues the last couple weeks. Just feeling hopeless and down. Sure there's been a few times I've been feeling ok, but deep inside there's something not quite right.

It's so frustrating to feel like this. I was doing a lot better. Feeling pretty good, hopefull about the future, thinking I'm ok. And now... not so much.

Ack!

Kinda Better... Sorta

I'm feeling a little better. Not really back to 100%, but better than I was. So we're getting somewhere.

I get so frustrated when this happens. I feel like I'm doing pretty well and then I'm smacked back down to "you're worthless" feelings. Ack!

Decisions, Decisions...

So I've got tomorrow off and I can't decide what I should do with it. It's either go on a little geocaching roadtrip or maybe be lazy and hang around the pool and then go to a movie.

Hmm.... Such a tough decision!

Itchy!!!!

I think I managed to get poison ivy on me when I went geocaching a week or so ago. It's so incredibly itchy and annoying and I want it to stop!!!!!

A bug bite I can deal with. But some hydrocortizone on it and by the time it wears off the itching is gone. But this doesn't quit! It just keeps itching and itching ad itching. Hydrocortizone will work for a little bit, but the reaction just keeps coming back. Argh! I went looking on-line and apparently it takes a week or two for it to stop. It has to have been a week already right? Or am I just imagining it being a heck of a lot longer than that?

Who Needs Car Insurance Anyway?

Yesterday I had the day off, and since my Aunt and Uncle are going to be out here at the end of the week I figured it would be well spent cleaning my apartment. And with the help of my very wonderful coach, I actually got quite a bit done.

One of the tasks was going through the mail. There was a letter from the bank that has my car loan from a day or two ago. It said that State Farm had quit holding a lien (or something like that) against the car. So I called State Farm today to figure out what was up. They said they canceled my insurance back in April! Needless to say, this is news to me!

The lady on the phone said that there was some payment that couldn't be made by credit card (even though their website says they accept credit card payments) and that they left a message for me at work. I never got this message. Which is perfectly understandable because it's a huge voice mail system and if it didn't make it to my voice mail it was most likely lost or deleted by someone else. So I've been driving around since April without any insurance. Great, just great.

OK, fine, whatever. What do I have to do to get my insurance re-instated?

Can't! They aren't accepting any "new business" in Rhode Island and apparently that's what I am. Right. I've had State Farm since I got my car almost 4 years ago! Not exactly new business!

So now, thanks to the butt monkeys at State Farm I have to find new insurance. I've been doing all the on-line quote generator things. Looks like I'm going to go with Geico. They seem to have the best rate for what I need.

Grrr! Stupid insurance company.

Problem Solved

You'll all be glad to know that I have car insurance again. The lovely people at Geico were very helpful and nice and got me all straightened out. So that drama is over.

As an added plus, they've got a great website and that really appeals to little ol' geek me. Do you suppose I get some gecko swag now that I use them?

Love Crucified Arose

Long ago He blessed the earth
Born older than the years
And in the stall the cross He saw
Through the first of many tears
A life of homeless wandering
Cast out in sorrow's way
The Shepherd seeking for the lost
His life the price He paid

Love crucified arose
The risen One in splendor
Jehovah's sole Defender
Has won the victory
Love crucified arose
And the grave became a place of hope
For the heart that sin and sorrow broke
Is beating once again

Throughout Your life You've felt the weight
Of what You'd come to give
To drink for us that crimson cup
So we might really live
At last the time love and die
The dark appointed day
That one forsaken moment when
Your Father turned His face away

Love crucified arose
The risen One in splendor
Jehovah's sole Defender
Has won the victory
Love crucified arose
And the grave became a place of hope
For the heart that sin and sorrow broke
Is beating once again

Birdie Feet

I know its a silly thing to have bother me, but it does! The commercials for the new Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Rum have the wrong birdie feet on them! And it bugs me! There's little birdie footprints in the logo for the stuff and they're wrong! Do they not have competent researchers or something?

Movie Time

In just a little over 6 hours almost the entire station will be enjoying a free showing of "Anchorman"! WooHoo! We're all looking forward to it waaaay more than we probably should.

Someone at the station dug up some very old video (it's so old it might have started as film!) of the main anchor doing a talk show or something in the 70's. Looks exactly like Ron Burgandy. Someone else grabbed a still from it and photoshopped his head onto the Anchorman poster. Tooooo funny! It's scary how alike they look! Should be a fun night.

Plug-In

Don't mind me, just talking to myself...

This is the plug-in you want. That, plus a cron job should do it.

Disgusted

Planned Parenthood is selling a new t-shirt. It has one line of text on it.

"I had an abortion."

That is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. Advertising that you've killed your baby, and you're proud of it? What is wrong with people!

While I was looking for a link for that one I saw another of their [sarcasm]wonderful [/sarcasm] t-shirts. It read "Bush is hazardous to women's health". I think I'd like to make my own t-shirt that says "Kerry is hazardous to children's health." I wonder what they'd think of that?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Abortion is not a health issue, or a women's rights issue. It is a human rights issue. It is about every person's most basic right. The right to live.

Geocaching Wheee!!!

I logged my very first "FTF" this morning! Woot! I've gotten so close a handful of times in the last couple weeks, and this morning I finally got one. Woot! That makes me happy.

I'm also working on a massive multi-cache of my own along the lines of the "Presidents cahes" that Syn and I were working our way through when I was home on vacation at the end of May. It's going to involve 56 micros and 4 regulars, and I'm thinking of finishing it off with one big final cache.

For whatever reason caching has been about the only thing I've had the energy to do lately. Not sure why, I'm just having a hard time getting myself motivated enough to do much of anything. Ack! I have issues!

The Return of Farscape

I just saw my first promo for the new Farscape mini-series today! Woot!!! It looks so incredible! I can not wait until October to see it.

We actually got the show back! At least in some limited capacity.

So now, everybody, when October comes around make sure you watch it (especially if you're a Nielson person!) and then let SciFi know you watched it and want to see more. WooHoo! Go 'Scapers!
