A Dancing Note

Hornpipe (I think, double check that)

(r)hop-front down, (l)hop-back down, (r)roll back 1 2 3 4
(r)hop-front down, (l)hop-back down, (r)roll back 1 2 3 4
(r)hop-front down, (l)hop-back down, (r)roll back 1 2 3 4
(r)hop-front, (r)hop-back down, (l)roll back 1 2 3 4

repeat on left

Reel, or jig, don't remember which

(r)hop-front, hop-back, hop-front, hop-back
(r)step, (l)step
(r)hop-front, heel down, (l)step behind heel
switch feet, switch feet
(r)back 2 3
(l)back 2 3
(r)back 2 3

repeat on left

Because I keep looking for this bit of info I'm posting it here: Reels are in 2/4 or 4/4 time; slipjigs are in 9/8 time and are more or less unique to Irish music; hornpipes can be in 2/4 or 4/4 time; and jigs are in 6/8 time.
