More Wish List Fun
The amazon wishlist for The Zoo is finally linkable!
I'll stick a permalink for it up in the "about" section and over at The Zoo as well.

It would appear that the web cam quit updating again... Since I'm not sitting in front of my computer at home but it shows me as sitting there.
I shall have to investigate!
I know my 'puter crashed around the same time as the time stamp on that capture, so maybe when the programs started back up again a setting got messed up. I'm sure it's something silly, I just can't do anything about it 'till I get home!
And speaking of home... I fly home in less than a week!!!! WooHoo!! By this time next Monday I should be either at the EC airport or on my way there. Horrah! Woot! Yippee!!
Nope, I'm not excited at all. Why do you ask?
[Update: I just looked (haven't been home yet) and it seems to be magically fixed. Now I'm really confused!]
A reporter in Virginia gives an example of how NOT to do a like-live!
I'm guessing someone was fired, or at least suspended over that one!
Hamid Karzai sworn in as Afghan president
They now have their very first democratically elected president. How cool is that?
In just about 26 hours I'll be in the EC airport. Yay!!!
I've been feeling a tad overwhelmed with stuff I have to get done before leaving, and therefore haven't been blogging. Which is dumb, because blogging always makes me feel better.
I have one minor rant... Why on earth can't people in Rhode Island learn how to drive?!?!? I am sick to death of people getting pissed off at me because I'm following the traffic laws. What is up with that?
Just one more shift here at work and then I'm going home, and I get to see everybody! Try to concentrate on that!
I'm just finishing up a few little things around here and then I'm calling a taxi and I'm off!
Woo!
You can expect moblogging along the way just like last time. I had fun with that before so I'll probably do it again.
I moved the webcame last night to be in the critter room. I had to choose who gets covered though since I couldn't set up a shot that showed everybody. So I went with the birdies. There's a light on a timer so during the morning and early afternoon I should be able to see them.
OK, I'm going to go double check that I have everything packed and then I'm leaving. Yay! See ya all soon!
I've been home now for a tad over 24 hours. It's wonderful! I love being here. Everything just feels right.
Blogging will be light, although it hasn't been very heavy lately anyway so nothing will really change that much I guess! There won't be new critter pictures, that'll be different. But there's always the webcam for that. It would seem to be working just fine in my absence (when the lights are on of course) Although I did take some pictures of Syn's critters so I could post them instead.
I'm very much looking forward to doing Christmas type things. We put up the creche last night, and I'm really going to have to try to take some decent pictures of it. I tried a couple years ago and nothing turned out very well, so I'll have to give it another shot.
Mostly I'm just really enjoying being home.
[whine] I don't want to leave! [/whine]
Yeah, I miss my critters, but other than that I'd be perfectly happy to stay right here. Not that I think I want to move back into my parents' house. I think that would make me (and them!) just a tad crazy. But I'd sure like to be closer to home.
It all goes so fast when I'm here. Can I really have been here for a week? Is that possible?
I will be heading back to RI tomorrow. Flight leaves around noon I think. I'll have to double check that. I do want to see my menagerie. I miss them. Let the bunnies out to play and give the birdies some nice long snuggles.
I'm home.
Very long day, I'm exhausted.
I'm going to bed.
I know, haven't been blogging lately. Just tired and worn out from my vacation! Such a silly thing that. Coming back from a vacation needing a couple days off to recover from it!
And since we did all of our Christmas stuff while my brother and I were home, it's just not feeling like Christmas. It feels like Christmas was over a week ago!
So I'm sitting here having grilled cheese for my Christmas dinner and watching TV and playing with my menagerie. It is what it is!
So Merry Christmas eveybody! I hope you all have wonderful holidays and enjoy your families and friends!
It's snowing and it's beautiful and I love it!
Nothing major yet, just enough to cover eveything with white. So pretty.
I know it won't stay for very long, but I'm going to enjoy the heck out of it while it's here.
