Also, I really want to write something about a book I just finished. But I don't really have time just at the moment. There's this pesky work thing that I have to do in a couple minutes. But the post is percolating in my head, so hopefully I can get it out later tonight.

Oh my word!

I just got off the phone with the doctor's office. I've been wanting to switch shrinks for a while now and I finally called to see about doing it. After sitting on hold for 10 minutes the secretary finally came back...

She gave me the name of ONE doctor I could switch to but if I don't like her I can't go to another doctor in that building or back to the doctor I started with! What the heck kind of way is that to treat people who need your help?!?

I am just so pissed off at them right now. I so desperately want to switch doctors, but what if this new chick sucks too? Maybe I just switch and see how it goes and then if I don't like it I just stick with it until I can find someone else? I just don't know.

Therefore... Argh!!!!!

Because I just looked at my blog and it's all funky 'cuz I haven't written anything for more than a week.

Bad Blogger!

So let's see... Shirin's blood tests came back and she is chlamydia negative and that's a very good thing. That's what the vet was most worried about so she probably just had a little cold. I can't wait 'till I can move her out with the rest of the Zoo. It'll make my life a lot easier to have everyone able to be together. I need to call up the vet and find out how long I need to keep her separate since she doesn't seem to be seriously ill.

NCAA basketball makes for some very late newscasts! But that means OT so I'm ok with that.

I got the cutest little Easter package in the mail yesterday from my parents. I need to take a picture of it 'cuz it's adorable and I love it.

I got another package yesterday too... It's a book that has a picture of mine in it! It's an ESL book from Denmark and the writter/publisher/producer/whomever was in charge of the pictures, e-mailed me a while back and asked to use a picture of mine that was posted in the photoblog. (it's the top picture) It's honestly not that great of a picture, very backlit, lots of noise, but they wanted it so that's fine with me! The book has now been published and they sent me a copy of it. First time I've seen a picture of mine in print! And even if it isn't a very good picture, that's still very cool. I need to take a picture of that too so I can share with all of you.

So there we have it. A little update on my goings on. There's a couple more serious posts that I want to write this week, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. But hopefully I will soon!

Not my webcam unfortunately, that's still broken, but still quite cool!

While I was surfing through the Friday Ark there was an entry that linked to a webcam that's mainted by Xcel Energy. There's actually a handfull of them. Owls, eagles, falcons... you can see right into the eagles' giant nest! There's an infrared camera in the owls' nest box. It's so cool to be able to see these amazing birds up close like that!

Been feeling kinda blue and just generally moody the last couple days. I figured it was because of the holiday.

Yeah. That wasn't so much it. (although it certainly didn't help!)

Something arrived today that kinda cleared it up. Not a happy camper about that either.
