Going Home

I'm not Catholic, but I still recognize what an important person the Pope is.
From the news channels, it sounds like he's shortly to be welcomed home.
The son of a very good blog-friend left for boot camp last week.
So send your prayers his way that the experience is good for him and that he stays safe in whatever he ends up doing.
I know I haven't mentioned it, but you know I'm watching Survivor (who says I'm obsessed?)
I'm watching last night's episode at the moment. And I haven't gotten to the tribal council yet, but I just have to say... I love Stephanie! She rocks, even if her team has lost every stinkin' immunity challenge. I'm really hoping she wins this personal immunity thing they're doing now.
That's all. Just had to share.
I can not wait until April 29th!
Just started seeing trailers for The Guide a couple days ago. WooHoo!
There's two baby eagles in the nest of the Xcel Eagles. They look like they're mostly still fluff without any real feathers quite yet.
I just think it's incredibly cool that Xcel has these cameras set up. Amazing to be able to see inside an eagle's nest like that!
Well, if the view on the BunnyCam were just slightly wider you would have seen me sleeping on the floor right next to them just now! I just slept for a good hour and a half on the floor. Apparently I didn't get enough sleep last night!
Is it just me or are the Ray Charles lottery commercials kinda tacky? I mean the man died. Shouldn't you let him be remembered for his incredible work instead of some corny commercials? It just seems wrong to me to keep using them.
Well, I managed to screw something up. For some reason when I installed the "MultiBlog" plugin it screwed up the "OtherBlog" plugin and messed with what shows up in my sidebar. Hmmm... gonna have to mess with that! 'Cuz it looks mighty weird at the moment.
I wonder if MultiBlog will do what OtherBlog was doing so I only need that plugin?
Don't mind me, just a geek scratching her head and talking to herself over here.
[Update:] MultiBlog will indeed do what OtherBlog was doing! WooHoo! And now it's all fixed and looking normal again.
OK, so they're not really mine, but there's a Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow that hang out outside my living room window quite a lot. And I feed them and they're pretty used to me being just on the other side of the window.
Today, I noticed them flying around with nesting material. Mrs. Sparrow left a big hunk of it on my window ledge so I'm hoping that they're gonna build their nest somewhere nearby. I'd love to be able to see it! I did some googling and it appears that they build nests anytime from January clear through to July! And will lay up to 4 seperate clutches in one season. Pretty impressive little birds! Explains why they're so numerous too.
So here's hoping that leaving the nesting stuff on my window ledge actually turns into something!
I know, I haven't posted in more than a week. Been having a kinda crappy week or so and for whatever reason I have a hard time posting when I'm feeling like that. Even though posting tends too make me feel better. Heh, no one ever said I made sense!
So! On to the silly something!
On the way to see Dr. Idiot this morning I saw a convenience store broken down on the side of the Interstate! I wish I'd had my camera out in picture taking mode, 'cuz it was a goofy thing to see!
if you've ever seen them moving a house on the back of some semis, it was something like that. Quite surreal! Looked like you could have opened the door and gotten a bag of chips and a Coke!
And now I'm gonna go back to waiting for Dr. Idiot to show up. I really need to switch doctors...
Assuming I get out of work tonight in a decent amount of time...
I'm hoping to get to The Hitchhiker movie tonight at midnight. I'm really, really hoping that it doesn't dissapoint because that would suck! The books so incredibly rock that I'm truly hoping that the rumors of mass screwing-with-the-plot/jokes/characters/etc. have been exagerated.
Oh, and I'm wearing new jeans (yeah, ok, they're capri's... shutup) today. On Thursday I managed to step on my old one's when I was trying to pick them up and ripped a massive hole in them. So a quick trip to Kohl's later and I have new jeans. They were even on sale! So I grabbed a pair of jeans and a pair of shorts for 28 bucks. Yay!
And now it's time to go do some work. Wheee... it's the book. Can't wait 'till June.
I am pleased to report that the movie was actually (ding!) pretty good! Kinda dummbed down from the books, but overall quite true to the source. So, yay! And now it's time for me to go to bed.
