Lair went and compared apples to oranges. Which, for whatever reason, I find hilarious. One of the criteria was how difficult it is to make the into a pie. So being the dork that I am, I had to see if orange pie recipies exist...
They do! Most of them seem to include orange juice concentrate, but I found this one that uses mandarin oranges.
