I was browsing the Friday Ark and came across a link to a knitting pattern for a Nautilid!
It looks more complicated than anything I've done so far, but tacklable. I'm going to have to give it a try 'cuz it looks very cute!
And yes, I know this kind of fits better in the Crafty Blog, but I think that's going to be for finished projects only, not for ideas. Of course I may change my mind in the future. You just never know!
Well, at some point yesterday my debit card seems to have escaped the boundaries of my pocket. Grr! I searched all over the place yesterday and this morning and it has dissappeared. So I called the bank and they canceled it and are sending me a new one.
I'm sure it's because of this silly pants. They're capris (and these actually look like capris on me!) and the pockets are down near my knees. Things have a tendency to fall out of them. But the other stuff that was in that pocket is still there so I'm not sure how that one thing managed to get out. Of course now that I've gone and canceled the thing I'll probably find it.
This is the reason I have 4 pocket knives. I lose them, buy a new one, find the old one... lather, rinse, repeat.
Lair did a 100 Words Challenge this week and the theme was Bunnies! Head over there to hear all the entries. I'm going to include mine "below the fold" for anyone that wants to read it instead of hear it.
Just found a pattern for a DNA double helix cable scarf!
I'm going to have to play around with that 'cuz that's just cool!
OK folks, I need some help.
We were having a childhood television nostalgia night here at work while we ate our dinners. This one show came up and we couldn't remember the name of it. I've been googling it and can't find anything. Help?
Here's what I remember...
It was something we watched in school (but I also remember seeing it on PBS), it would have been mid to late 80's. It was reading/writing focused. There were these two kids that had a motorcycle hidden in the garage I think and they'd put on these gloves and get on the bike and then end up in some other universe. There was a bad guy there that also rode a motorcycle and had a huge black cape. He had this greasy little sidekick who rode in the sidecar. There would always be some kind of crisis that they would be able to solve by applying whatever they'd learned in school that day.
Anyone have any memory of this show?

OK, I need to come up with a way to organize pattern links...
