Podcast Nonsense

I know, I haven't posted in at least a week. Bad Blogger!

And this is going to be short. I just stumbled across a knitting podcast! I'm going to have to download a couple episodes when I get home from work tonight to see if I like it.

I made the first pathetic attempt at organizing my stash last night. And had to make another trip to the store today for a couple more storage bins. So far I have a VERY full under-bed size plastic bin thats all Caron Simply Soft. Another that has all my cotton. I went and got two more today, one will be for the acrylics and another for everything else. The only bin that's full right now is the Caron bin, the rest have quite a bit of space in them. But I figured it made more sense to start with it organized instead of all squished together and have to change it later.

And now I think I'm going to go work on my sock while I pretend to work! Baby sitting training is such fun.

Happy Surprise

I don't tend to look at my work schedule too far in advance. It's just not worth it. I'm just going to forget it. At the end of each day I look at the next day before I leave for home and that works for me.

The boss lady is in today (because Keva's training and there's an extra person to do the baby-sitting) and since Keva's totally cool on her own she told me I'm directing. OK, whatever. Then she went to switch the schedules to next week and said "hey you have two days off this week."

What? Seriously? I have two days off? Sa-weet! I have both Monday and Tuesday off!!!! I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself with two whole days off.

Witty Title Here

I was checking to make sure something updated and realized that there wasn't anything on this here main blog page. So I'm writting a lame post to make it seem not quite so empty!

I have about an hour and a half until I can leave work... but then I don't have to be back for a whole 9 days. Woot! Vacation rocks!

However, because I'm me I haven't packed yet or gotten the apartment in any sort of readiness for me to be gone for a week. I need to clean critter houses and make sure everything is set for Keva since she's the designanted critter-sitter. Basically that means I won't be getting a heck of a lot of sleep tonight.

I have to catch the 8:45 train to Boston in the morning and then I get to sit around the airport for a few hours waiting for my flight. There just aren't as many trains on the weekends so I end up going earlier than I would on a weekday. But oh well, lots of knitting time! The only thing I have managed to get ready is my mp3 player. Lots of radio programs downloaded and ready to entertain me.

And now I have to go do actual work. See ya!

Choo-Choo!

I managed to sleep a couple hours last night. I'm expecting to sleep on the plane, I usually do! At the moment I'm on the T enjoying the webbrowsing skills of my Sidekick!

If I'm leaving, I'll see ya in a week. If I'm coming, I'll see ya soon!

Update: it is now 1:08 pm and we are boarding. Yay!

Landed

I'm still stuck on the plane (and in need of a bathroom!) but we've landed so it won't be long now.

Woot!

I have no idea who they are, but a nice commenter left some info in the comments of this entry from back in April. I was wondering about the title of a children's show from when I was little.

And thanks to the wonderful blog-less commenter I now know it was.... (drumroll please)

We're Doing What Now?

Apparently the river is too low for canoes so we're taking kayaks.

I'm kinda nervous.
